Education Background
Research Interests
I am currently studying patterns of fluorescence from new autonomous oceanographic platforms. Fluorometers are a ubiquitous tool for biological oceanographers. They are typically used to study distributions of phytoplankton biomass but can also be used to study physiological characteristics of phytoplankton. I am taking advantage of this physiological information and studying its variability with data from an oceanographic mooring in the North West Arm of Halifax and another ~30km off the coast of Halifax.
