3003.03 — Introduction to Biological Oceanography

Prerequisites: OCEA 2000, OCEA 2001, OCEA 2002
This class explores interrelationships between living organisms in the sea and the ocean environment. Biological processes are introduced in the context of the physic al and chemical oceanography. The emphasis is on sea-going field work on day trips in local marine waters and hands-on laboratory investigation.
