Welcome to the newly created Alumni Section of our website!
To celebrate 40 years of the Oceanography Department, the 1st Oceanography Department Alumni Dinner was held on June 1, 2011. The event was a great success with approximately 80 people in attendance. Photos of the event can be found at this link.
A historical booklet was created to mark the event and was available to those in attendance. We have a few booklets remaining - if you would lke one mailed to you, please send along a request to oceanography@dal.ca and we will gladly mail one to you. At the Ocean's Week Gala Event held on June 2, the global map you see below was projected on a sphere display. The 'red dots' indicate where some of our alumni are currently working. (Click on the map to open a larger version).
